The documents, written to be read
The licensed broker's documents will be published here before launch. Until then, each section says what it will cover, so you know what to read before you fund anything.
Risk disclosure
A summary of the main risks of trading leveraged derivatives. It is not exhaustive, and the broker's full risk disclosure will replace it before launch. If any part of it is unclear, ask before you trade.
Leverage magnifies losses as well as gains
A position opened with 3.33% margin moves thirty times faster against your capital than an unleveraged holding of the same size. A 3% adverse move in the underlying can wipe out the entire margin posted. Leverage describes the capital you must post, not the risk you are taking.
Stops are not guarantees
An ordinary stop loss becomes a market order when triggered and fills at the next available price. When a market gaps — over a weekend, around a central bank decision, or on unexpected news — that price can be materially worse than your stop level.
Overnight financing accumulates
Positions held through the daily rollover are charged or credited a swap rate. On a position held for weeks this cost can exceed the price move you were trading for.
Markets can become illiquid without notice
Spreads widen and depth thins around scheduled releases, at the daily rollover and in periods of stress. Orders that fill instantly in normal conditions may slip materially.
Losses beyond your deposit
Retail clients of EU-regulated brokers are protected by negative balance protection: a deficit left after positions are closed is written off rather than pursued. The broker's own policy will be set out in its terms.
Past performance tells you nothing reliable
No past price, chart or result on this site is a reliable indicator of future results.
